Church of St. Nicholas
Learn more about this cathedral || Back to main Prague Page

Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer built this elaborate baroque church in 1735. It is not to be confused with the Church of St Nicholas built in the Little Quarter by the architect's father. Its’ creamy white façade, decorated in contrast with various stone coloured, statues, overlooks one corner of the Old Town Square. The interior is rather more modest and is fitted with heated chairs for the chilly winters. Organ concerts are held here throughout the year and tickets are sold at the door.
