The Augustiner Tent
Most people familiar with German beer know Paulaner, Spaten and Lowenbrau. Not as many are familiar with the Augustiner brewery, another Munich brewery very popular among beer drinkers. Its roots go back hundreds of years to monastic brewing which dates back at least to the 15th century. Well known for its wide variety of beers and especially for its line of pale beers. Augustiner brewery has it own malting and uses quality aroma hops. Well known also in the city for its big and popular beer garden called Hirschgarden which is located close to Nymphenburg Castle. Hirschgarden can host a quite few thousand beer lovers.
